This course is designed to improve the key skills areas of English Language Proficiency.
It is structured into 5 levels:
Level 1 – Basic
Level 2 – Limited
Level 3 – Competent
Level 4 – Advanced
Level 5 – Proficient
At each level, special attention is given to the five macro-skills:
Listening
Speaking
Reading
Writing
Use
Objectives :
Emphasis is placed on a thorough knowledge of grammar and vocabulary-building. Although the course content at each level is demanding, our teachers conduct the classes in a friendly and relaxed style. Learning becomes a more pleasurable experience without the pressure of formal examinations.
Commencement: Every Monday (students will be tested on arrival to determine their level of competence)

The Chinese language is emerging as one of the world’s dominant languages, in addition to English and Spanish. Chinese is now used by more than 20% of the global population. Learning Chinese opens up access to many opportunities in business and the global community particularly in the context of today’s global business.
Through a rich variety of creative programmes and interactive learning experiences students will quickly develop confidence using Chinese and gain new insights into China’s fascinating culture. We offer a wide range of special interest classes and workshops that will enrich your learning experience.
Objectives :
This programme is designed for both young learners and adult learners interested in acquiring a new language skill or renewing their knowledge of the language. The advantage of this programme lies in its close link with HSK – the official test set by the Chinese government to evaluate the proficiency of Chinese language.
The course is structured into 6 levels and caters to students from zero knowledge in the Chinese language to students seeking admission or employment in Mandarin-speaking institutes or organizations.
Course Structure :
Level 1: Conversational A conversational course for beginners.
Level 2: Elementary (Gateway to HSK) Learners will improve gradually from being beginners who can speak little to making themselves reasonably understood.
Level 3: Lower-Intermediate (HSK Basic) Students are systematically trained, from this level onwards, in mastering listening and reading / comprehension skills.
Level 4: Intermediate (HSK Elementary-Intermediate Level I) Students will be equipped with adequate knowledge for many practical everyday purposes, including business and study.
Level 5: Upper Intermediate (HSK Elementary-Intermediate Level II) Students will be able to use Chinese effectively and perform confidently in social and professional situations, and in higher education (undergraduate study).
Level 6: Proficient (HSK Advanced Level) Students will approach a standard of Chinese similar to that of an educated native speaker.
